TheJank-HeadHunters Crew, introduce yourself:

HH-"Names Quantum because my last name is Quan and thought it would be
cool to add the 'um' at the end (laughs). I work at a salon called
Umbrella, cutting hair for clients such as the HeadHunters Crew. I
used to be a part of E-Roc, an old school bboy crew, one of the first
asian crews that made it strong in the scene coming from the Silver
Creek area. Now I'm the crew DJ for HeadHunters spinning that hot
fire!"

"Andre aka Dre Hood, one of the newest in the crew. I grew up with
them but didn't come into the bboy scene until my sophomore year of
high school, 2002, after moving away from the crew to south San Jose.
Then practiced with Ray mostly everyday after school."

"Vu aka Deja Vu, I'm one of the original four horsemen of HeadHunters.
Started breakin 99', met up with Naytron (Renegades/HeadHunters), when
he used to practice just by himself. I consider myself the hype man of
the crew. I love coffee. I produce music, make beats MPC style. I'm
working on a mixtape with some of the foster kids at my work, Hip Hop
360 which is a nonprofit after school program. Traxamillion donated
two beats to the project mixtape."

"Adrian aka Adriaddict, one of the og members. I started bboying in a
crew called Innocent Bystanders Crew before HeadHunters Crew. Now, I
do hip hop choreography and have recently been training with the DS
Players. I love Sushi. You can call me the heavy hitter of the crew."

"Name is Roland aka Saint Roe, one of the og members also. I started
off doing Tae Kwon Do as a member of the Ernie Reyes West Coast
Beryessa Action Team. Early in my career I chose to do more tricks. I
started bboying in '99 but got serious '02. I'm also working on
choreo, trying to learn boogaloo, krump, different genres of dance.
I'm a full time college student at De Anza and Evergreen College. I'm
a very strong based individual, strong Christian. Down the road I want
to look into preaching. They consider me the Chris Brown of the crew.
HeadHunters is just a product of each other. I started off with
Decepticon with Adrian. I got into bboying because of Sean Nguyen aka
Gizmo. I love sushi and girls, that's all you need (and sushi in girls
haha jk). I'm a sneaker collector and I'm selling Heat. Hit me up at
roland.ibarra@gmail.com if you're interested.

"Ray aka Nasty Ray. Been breaking since 2000, first started with Roe.
Shy unless it comes to dancing. I bought my first bboy tape at Mr.
Rags, and off that tape I got serious with bboying. First video was
the Pro Am '97 and the second was Battle of Year '98 then Summit '99.
I'm versatile, from drawing to bboying. I can be considered the
creative director of the crew doing any work, paints, graphics,
flyers, etc."

"Bobbi Vie, I'm the latest edition to the crew. You can call me the
business man of the crew. I started dancing in high school but didn't
really start until 2002 of Aug. Its been six years of practicing with
HeadHunters. I also am into fashion and coordinating the biggest bboy
events in San Jose."

Other O.G. HeadHunters.:
Kerg, The superstar of the West Coast until shoulder injury,
Allen, Chez, Mikamon, Rob, Roland, Scooby, Tony, and Yoshi.

TheJank-Brief History/Background
HH-HeadHunters began summer of 1999-present. We named ourselves
Innocent Bystanders Crew (IBC) before HeadHunters. The name
HeadHunters was founded when Roland and Naytron competed together when
Roland first got out of jail. Roland stated that if they won the jam
with that name (HeadHunters), they would keep it. They won and from
then on, HeadHunters was the name we've repped for the past 8 years.
Naytron, Roland, and Rob were the three that basically started
HeadHunters.

TheJank-There was a little rumor and gossip about HH what was all this about?
HH-People are always going to hate on something that's a part of success.

TheJank- Where has HeadHunters been and what' happening in the future?
HH-We've been to a lot of events. We recently won the last four
events we did enter. Nasty Ray was in Russia not to long ago and is
being flown out to go to Australia to teach a workshop. We are going
to be performaning at the Mountain View Art & Wine Festival, going to
Magic Tradeshow in Las Vegas thanks to our sponsor Azuki Boutique, and
getting interviewed with a few internet radio stations.

TheJank-Haha. With HH booked for more shows, sponsors, traveling, and
just being on the hustle in general and everything coming fast, how
does it all feel?
HH-Just doing what we love. For us its a snowball effect, we keep
building and more people wanna keep building with us on a endless
hill.

TheJank-Where are you guys trying to go with HH, what's the main goal?
HH-Again, we are all just doing what we love, hopefully do it for a
living. We want the people to see us as a whole and an individual
dancer. We want to make history with HeadHunters and put San Jose on
the map.

TheJank-Any shout outs?
HH-Thanks to everyone that has put their faith in us. Inner Circle
Clothing, Suhreal Movement, and of course Azuki Boutique and Phuong!!
